Solar panel cost installed in Finland 2026
Every figure below is published as it stands. We do not average them, because the mean of a marketing range, a costed worked example and the median of two jobs is a number nobody measured.

The parts of the price
Installers quote these items apart from each other. That is exactly why a "from" price misleads: it is almost always just one of these rows.
| installed, on averageplatform average, sample size not statedThe site does not say how many jobs the figure rests on. Its own example of a 3.18 kW system at about €6,500 works out at over €2,000 per kWp: on small systems the per-kWp price climbs steeply. | €5,000–€7,000 |

The household tax credit
Household tax credit: 35% of the labour share of a company invoice, up to €1,600 per person per year, with a €150 own share (Verohallinto, 10 February 2026). The government has proposed raising this to 40% and €2,100 for 2026–2027, retroactively from 1 January 2026 (HE 113/2026 vp, Eduskunta, 11 June 2026). Parliament has not passed the bill, and the tax administration still writes about it in the conditional (Verohallinto, 16 June 2026).

- what one saved kilowatt-hour is worth
- 11–14 snt/kWh
- This figure is published nowhere: it is derived from the energy price, the energy part of the transfer fee, the electricity tax and VAT. Use it as a calculator default but ask for the user’s own price. Statistics Finland’s 18.04 snt/kWh overstates the saving by about a third, because it contains a standing charge that a heat pump does not remove.

A price band tells you the order of magnitude. Only a quote tells you what your own job costs — and only a quote states the labour share separately, which is the part the tax credit applies to.

What we do not tell you, because no source does
These gaps are deliberate. A number with no dated source has no business on a page whose whole promise is that every number carries its date.
- Urakkamaailma’s per-city averages sit far below its own national average, because they describe an installation job rather than a device installed. Those pages carry no date of their own, so we publish none of their figures — only the fact that one site’s two numbers describe different products.
- Some installed-cost figures repeated across the trade, such as the extra cost of upgrading an electrical panel, exist only as vendor consensus with no identifiable source page. They are left out, and the corresponding items appear only in the list of what a price does not cover.
Frequently asked
What does solar panels cost installed in Finland?
1,000–1,800 €/kWp. 1,000–1,400 €/kWp turnkey — a vendor’s stated range (1komma5.com, 2026). 1,000–1,800 €/kWp turnkey, by equipment quality — a vendor’s stated range (grivolt.fi, 2026).
What is the price of solar panels made of?
A quoted price normally covers the panels, mounting hardware, the inverter, system design, roof installation, the electrical installation and the grid notification. Quoted separately, as a rule: scaffolding or a lift, fall protection and work on the electrical panel.
Why do different sites quote different prices?
Prices for solar panels differ because the sources scope the job differently: some price the installation labour alone, some the device installed, and some the whole system including demolishing the old one. That is why every figure on this page states what it covers, what sample it rests on and the date its source carries.
Does the installation qualify for the household tax credit?
Household tax credit: 35% of the labour share of a company invoice, up to €1,600 per person per year, with a €150 own share (Verohallinto, 10 February 2026). The government has proposed raising this to 40% and €2,100 for 2026–2027, retroactively from 1 January 2026 (HE 113/2026 vp, Eduskunta, 11 June 2026).
