1. Introduction

Lämpöopas ("we", "us", or "our") operates the lampoopas.fi website. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website.

2. Information We Collect

We may collect information about you in various ways:

• Usage data: information about how you access and use our website, including your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and time spent on pages.
• Cookies: we use cookies and similar tracking technologies (Google Analytics, Yandex Metrica) to improve our services and analyze site usage.
• Quote request details: when you fill in a quote request form we store your name, phone number, postal code, the service you selected and your message, your email address and your answers about the property if you gave them, and the text of the notice shown on the form.

3. Use of Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Operate and maintain our website
• Improve user experience
• Analyze usage patterns and trends
• Respond to your comments or inquiries

4. Who receives your quote request

When you send a quote request through a form on Lämpöopas, we pass its details to installation companies so that they can send you the quote you asked for. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for our own marketing.

• What we share: your name, phone number, postal code, the service you selected and the message you wrote, plus your email address and your answers about the property if you gave them.
• Who receives it: up to three installation companies that do the work you asked about in your area. Once a company receives your details it is an independent controller of them and answers for its own processing.
• Why and on what basis: so that you get the quote you asked for. The processing consists of steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).
• How long: we keep a quote request for at most 12 months after it was sent and then delete it.
• Your rights: you can cancel your request and ask us to delete its details at any time by writing to [email protected]. We delete the request and the record of who received it; our internal log keeps only a note that a request existed and was deleted, with no personal details and no recipients. We cannot recall a request that has already been passed on, so ask the company that received it to delete its copy as well.

5. Company contact details

The directory publishes contact details that installation companies have published on their own websites or that appear in public registers (Tukes, the Finnish trade register YTJ). Where a contact detail is personal data, for example a sole trader's own email address, we handle it as follows:

• Purpose: keeping the directory and inviting companies to receive quote requests. We forward quote requests to companies that have signed up for them; a single request may also be forwarded to the local company from whose page it was sent, which then acts as an independent controller.
• Basis: our legitimate interest in offering households a complete directory and forwarding their quote requests (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).
• Objecting: you can stop our messages by replying to our invitation or by writing to [email protected] (every message we send also gives an address for this). We add the address to a do-not-contact list so that nothing more is sent to it; the list keeps only the address and the reason.
• Corrections and removals: you can ask us to correct or remove a listing at [email protected].

6. Data Storage & Security

The site's database, where quote requests are stored, is on a server in Finland (EU). The services listed under "Third-Party Services" process data on their own servers, partly outside the EU — for example, the analytics services Google Analytics and Yandex Metrica. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data.

7. Cookies

We use cookies for analytics purposes. You can control cookie preferences through our cookie consent banner. By accepting cookies, you agree to our use of Google Analytics and Yandex Metrica to analyze site traffic.

8. Third-Party Services

We may share data with:

• Google Analytics: for website traffic analysis
• Yandex Metrica: for usage analytics and heatmaps
• Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France): the email service through which quote requests are sent to Lämpöopas as a notification and to the companies that have signed up to receive them; a single request may also be forwarded to the local company from whose page it was sent, which then acts as an independent controller. The messages contain the details of the request. Brevo keeps message logs and delivery records; where its sub-processors handle data outside the EU, the transfer is covered by Brevo's data processing terms and the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
• Cloudflare Email Routing (Cloudflare, Inc., United States): messages sent to [email protected] are forwarded to the operator's mailbox; the transfer is covered by the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
