Where the listings come from

Lämpöopas is an independent directory. We compile company entries from public sources: the companies’ own websites, the contact details they publish there, and publicly available company register data. No company buys its way into the directory, and no payment changes the order in which companies appear.

Part of each entry — services, brands, offices, service area and any mention of a certification — is extracted by a language model reading the company’s own website, which also stores the passage the entry was based on. That is a machine reading of a company’s own marketing, not an independent audit, and the section below says plainly what follows from that.

The site also lets you send a quote request. A request is passed to at most three installation companies working in your area, and that is the only situation in which your contact details leave us. Sending a request changes neither a company’s position in a listing nor whether it appears at all.

What has been checked

A listing counts as checked only when a person has gone through it by hand. That date is printed on the company’s own page. Where no one has checked it yet, the page shows the date the entry was last changed instead, and says which of the two it is showing.

• The company name, its city, and the address of its website.
• That the website answers and belongs to the same company.
• The category the company is filed under in the directory.
• Duplicate entries: we match companies on a normalised website address so one company does not appear twice.

What has not been checked

Three limits apply to every listing on this site. They are stated here rather than left implicit, because a directory page that looks more certain than it is does more damage than one that admits the gap.

• Certifications and Tukes markings are the companies’ own statements, taken from their websites. We do not yet check them against the Tukes register, so a marking tells you what a company says about itself — not what the authority’s register says. Always verify a qualification in the register itself before you sign anything.
• Map positions and service areas are incomplete. Some companies have no coordinates at all, and a service area is usually the company’s own free-text description rather than a measured region. We are filling these in now, so the map is not yet a full picture of where a company actually works.
• There is not a single review or star rating on this site — neither our own nor any copied from elsewhere. We therefore do not rank companies by quality and do not call any of them the best. If you want other people’s experiences, look for them elsewhere.

How often the data is refreshed

The directory is added to continuously, but an individual listing does not refresh itself daily. Every company page carries a date, and that date is the only promise we make about the entry: either the day a person checked it, or the day the entry was last changed.

If the date is old, then it is old. We do not roll it forward when the page is rebuilt. A date that always reads "yesterday" tells a reader nothing, and a directory that fakes freshness has thrown away the one signal it had.

Correcting, claiming or removing a listing

If your company’s details are wrong, out of date, or you want the listing gone, tell us and we will fix it. The fastest route is an email to info@lampoopas.fi. Put the company name and the address of the listing in the message and we will find the right row straight away.

Every company page also carries a "Manage your listing" form at the foot of the page, which is how you claim an entry as its owner. Removal is unconditional: we do not require an account and we do not charge for it. A removed listing stops presenting your company as an installer and stops receiving quote requests.

• Wrong detail: tell us which field is wrong and what the correct value is.
• Missing detail: send us offices, service area or certifications and we will add them and record the date they were checked.
• Removal: ask, and the page stops presenting your company as an installer.

Who runs this service

Lämpöopas is neither an authority nor a trade association, and we do not sell or carry out installations ourselves. We publish a directory and pass on quote requests to the companies listed in it.

For the register entries that decide whether you get the household tax credit, the authoritative source is the Finnish Tax Administration’s public register, not this site. Check the company there before the invoice is paid.
